 gRaphical models in R September 12-14, 2002, Vienna |
gR 2002 will be a "brainstorm workshop" aiming at launching an initiative with the purpose of providing facilities for graphical models within R. This is made in response to the facts that:
graphical models have now been around for a long time and have shown to have a wide range of potential applications,
software for graphical models is currently only available in a large number of specialised packages, such as BUGS, CoCo, MIM, TETRAD and others.
This indicates that the time has come to integrate such facilities in software of a more general nature, such as R, with possibilities of flexible extension and modification of prepackaged modules.

From Vienna International Airport
there is a shuttle transfer to the City Air Terminal at "Landstraße (Wien
Mitte)". From there you can either take a taxi or use the public transport system,
which is significantly cheaper unless you can share a taxi.
Landstraße (Wien Mitte) -> hotel: two stops with the underground line U4 (direction
"Heiligenstadt") to the "Schottenring". Change to the underground line
U2 for one station to "Schottentor". Take either one of the trams 37, 38, 40, 41, 42
for two stations to "Spitalgasse/Währinger Straße", which is close to the hotel.
Landstraße (Wien Mitte) -> conference site (WU): five stops with the underground line U4 (direction
"Heiligenstadt") to the "Spittelau". The Vienna University of Economics
and Business Administration (WU) is just in front of the underground station.
hotel -> conference site (WU): three stops with the tram 37 or 38
from the station "Spitalgasse/Währinger Straße" close to the hotel to the station
"Nußdorfer Straße" close to the WU.
