All computations are done in R The R Project for Statistical Computing, an
open-source system for data analysis and graphics implementing the
award-winning S language (``GNU S''). The department of Statistik und
Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie at the Technische Universit\"at Wien plays
a key role in the development of R and maintains the master site of
the Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN). All
standard algorithms mentioned above are either available in the basic
R distribution or as add-on modules distributed via CRAN. We also
integrated these tools into a comprehensive R package for simulation
studies for exploratory analysis of fMRI data, available here (fMRIsim).
Packages required for this toolbox are cclust (Convex
Clustering Methods and Clustering Indexes; that includes all the crisp
clustering methods), e1071 (Misc Functions of the Department of
Statistics (e1071), TU Wien; that includes fuzzy clustering
algorithms), cluster (Functions for clustering (by Rousseeuw et
al.)), and GeneSOM (Self-Organizing Map) that can be freely
downloaded from CRAN.
